Wonderful, but APP needs persistent background color

My fiance ordered these for her children and me to keep in "touch" throughout the day. This is a heartwarming product that fills an emotional communication need. When away from the lamp, the APP on your phone serves as the remote touchstone instead. It works well except that the APP does not display the color of the lamp in the background as the video shows. I downloaded the WhatsApp APP to contact customer service and my messages were marked as seen but there was no reply at all. I finally did get a response at 1:30am in the morning. It was explained that customer support was in a different "time zone". Once support responded, I found them to be very informed and extremely helpful. Apparently, the APP is only designed to "flash" the ingoing and outgoing color in the background rather than holding the current color for display in the APP background. This is a silly design for not "persistently" displaying the current color being communicated since the color "flash" is no longer visible by the time you get to the app to see what color was sent to you. I did submit and would reiterate a feature request for the APP software to keep the current color "persistent " in the APP background just as it is displayed on the lamp. This would make the remote experience vastly more rewarding. Overall, I have to again say just how wonderful this product is for fostering and encouraging communication between loved ones. My thanks to the designers for creating such a wonderful and needed product.

We have one and grandma has the other. We’re always sending her love with our light. It’s also easy to use- my daughter figured out how to tap the lamp and make the colors change....

It is the best gift that I have ever purchased❤. When your loved ones are far away by distance you can connect virtually through this cute lil lamps . The sensor was good and the customer service I received was extraordinary they handled my issues with patience and sorted my issues regarding the lamp. Highly recommended for long distance relationship🥰
